Dana Baits Line Up

Have you ever asked yourself, what lure should I use? Well, we have the answer for you. Each of our lures are designed for different applications and can be used to target different fish in different conditions. In this article, I will be explaining what baits work for different applications-

The Frisk Minnow-

Our Frisk Minnow was carefully designed by us to be used for jigging and finesse applications. Rigging up the Frisk Minnow on a drop shot is deadly for largemouth bass that are eating smaller bait. We like to rig it on a smaller octopus hook and give ourselves about 1-1 ½ feet of line to our weight for the best presentation. We like to jig it around the bottom giving the tail maximum action to entice those big bites. The Frisk Minnow works great as a harbor bait as well for spotted bay bass and sand bass. We like to rig it up on a Ripper Jigs RipHead 1/8 to ¼ ounce jig head. Jumping it off the bottom and giving it little taps works perfect for us to get spotties and sand bass to bite.

The OG-

The OG is our proven bait for calico bass. The baits can be rigged an assortment of ways making it a great all-around bait for calicos. Some of our favorite ways to rig it are with a jig head, swing head, and weedless swimbait hook. We like to rig the OG with a ½ to ¾ ounce Ripper Jigs RipHead, ¼ ounce 4/0 swimbait hook, and ¾ swing head. This bait was designed to resemble a bait fish and swim like one too. Its unique tail design makes its swim very realistic to a bait fish and entice bites and strikes.

The Chomp-

The Chomp is a perfect bait for when fish are dialed in on larger bait fish. The bait comes in at 4.25” and its slim yet fat body makes it a perfect bait to rig on a jig head. This bait works wonders when fishing a 1 oz RipHead and reeling it along the bottom. The baits oversized tail gives it crazy action that gets the fish going crazy! When we fish the Chomp, we like to cast it out and at a slow-medium pace reel it along the bottom while giving it a couple jigs here and there. The Chomp is a fish catching machine and is the perfect choice for catching big fish!
